Reading the article - I never realised how many Christians were martyred in Korea in the 19th century. Most of the deaths occuring in 1866. Blood must have flowed through the streets... I didn't know either that they bought the gospel back to the country themselves. I found it an interesting read.. made me think of the scripture in Revelation where the souls of the martyred cry out to God www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/124-korean-martyrs-to-be-beatified-by-pope-next-month-87552/

Wow, that is the first time I'd heard that, I'm completely gobsmacked. I never new anything about this, in fact I didn't even know that there are Christians in Korea. I fell so uneducated ATM . On a side note, was this the reason for the split between North and south?

The war in Korea in the 1950s was communism versus the free world.
The north was backed by Russia, the south by USA and its allies.
Each side blames the other for the start of the war.. typical..

Each side blames the other for the start of the war.. typical.. That sounds familiar It seems that's a common theme. Both sides justify themselves as being right, unfortunately that justification comes at the expense of others. It's possible to justify your actions, but not the results.
